This Friday we hopped into the truck and headed out to Arcata. It was a beautiful drive. We arrived late and enjoyed a delicious dinner and then met up with our friends, Kealii, Claire and Kekoa.

We were all staying at the Hotel Arcata to see the Kinetic Sculpture race, visit the redwoods and beach. We enjoyed all of it and delicious meals and a ton of fresh air. We were outside from morning till night. Our hotel was right across from the town square where all the kinetic events took place. It was so fun to be right in the middle of it all.

We went to the beach on Saturday after the event and a brewery. The next day we watched the sculptures go into the bay and then we went on the most wonderful hike. We enjoyed watching the huge Elk for awhile and then headed back for a sushi dinner. We loved all the exercise outside and spending time with our sweet friends. The drive home was long, but thankfully there wasn't any traffic. We unpacked, did the laundry and jumped in the pool. What a wonderful weekend.
