Master Bathroom Refresh

I finally finished our master bathroom refresh and I LOVE it! A few months back I looked at the light that we bought from Home Depot in 2013 and couldn’t look at it another minute. I ordered a new light that day! The next month when I was painting several doors black, I decided to paint the inside of the bathroom door black. I loved the change. Then I decided I couldn’t be surrounded by the same damn baby blue anymore, so I painted the bathroom white. This bathroom gets a ton of gorgeous light so I knew I had to add at least two more plants, so I did. I changed out the shower curtain that hides the brass shower door and I purchased new towels from Cost Plus. I took a step back and it just looked too blah for me so I decided to stencil one wall with the same star pattern I did in the laundry room, and I I love it.

I painted the white hearts on my bathroom wall in August. This refresh did not happen overnight. I finished the guest bathroom in early September and I needed a break. I hate the clutter that comes with painting and projects, but it is definitely part of the process. There is always some point in these projects that I doubt myself or just don’t want to finish. I now can feel when that surfaces and just give myself a break. It always helps. In a few years we will replace the bathroom cabinet, gut the shower to create a new gorgeous shower and new floor. But for now, this works and it feels so good.
