Things I won't regret

I got a massage yesterday at the Body Mind Center with Mirijana (MJ).  I went to bed feeling like I was floating. I tweaked my neck recently and was not able to move my head all the way around. Rather than wish and hope it would get better, like I usually do, I decided to actually take care of it. Oh man.

Is it wrong to say I am in love with Mirijana? Is it wrong that I wish Pedar would go to school to learn how to give me massages like she can? I don't think so. Anything that feels that good just has to be right.

Why do I put off what I know I love? Why don't I stretch more after I workout? Why don't I meditate? Why don't I don't do some darn yoga? These are all things I know I won't regret. These are all things that I should do regularly.

I have ten days left of being 40. This was the year that I promised I would take better care of myself. I started 40 in a bit of a physical and emotional slump and I really wanted to make some changes. I did a lot of things right, but I've still got a lot of work to do to make my new healthier habits have staying power.

I am also only a few days away from my one year anniversary at Shriners. If it has been awhile since you had a new job, I can tell you, it is a lot of work. Just learning about all the different projects, processes, procedures and new colleagues, ooh baby. When I started last year, I had a moment (or three) of fear that I made the wrong choice. I didn't. I have learned so much this past year. I have new tools in my tool belt. I love being a part of an organization with such a beautiful mission. I am happier. I am grateful.

Hugging it out with Friday. Hope you have a great weekend!
