Family

On Friday night, Erik's class held the second grade ancestor dinner at school. I am waiting for pictures and video of the songs the kids sang to be sent out. It was a great evening and Erik was lucky to have both sets of grandparents and his Aunt Margery and Aunt Dagny and cousins Rita and Addison. Throwback to Casey's ancestor dinner four years ago.

The next day we continued our family fun and hosted a dinner to celebrate Chinese New Year, the year of the Rooster. Bridget, Chuck, Art and all the kids joined in on the fun! Skating and skateboarding is off the hook at our house and all the kids loved playing in the driveway before dinner. It was really nice to catch up with everyone.

After everyone left, Pedar rushed around and got us ready to go skiing the next morning. He packed and made lunches and planned. I was all cleaned, cooked and socialized out, but he made it happen! We were up and out the door by 7:30 a.m. We arrived to Donner Ski Resort and hit the slopes. The drive to the ski resort was so easy. The drive home, not so much. Our ski day was so wonderful. It was crazy warm. We actually used our face covers so we wouldn't burn. We skied without gloves because our hands were so warm. Erik is a confident skier now. He was racing Casey down the hill. Crazy boys. We arrived home in time to enjoy dinner and prepare for fun school week!

Curly and I are sending a lot of love and hope out into the world today. Hope you feel it.
