I am SO lucky

Many years ago, when Casey was seven, he created a Mother's Day card for me and the message said, "You are lucky to have me Mommy." He read his letter in class out loud to me, and several parents giggled. But you know what, he was echoing what I said to him all the time, "I am so lucky to be your Mommy, Casey."

And I am still so lucky. I am so lucky to be Erik and Casey's Mom. I am so grateful. I don't want to EVER take them for granted. They have given me the most adventurous and wonderful life. I just want to love and cheer them on. I am grateful for every single day.
