Garden love for a special birthday

IMG_7912.JPG

Our little sister Dagny celebrated a big birthday last week. This year I knew exactly what to get her for her birthday and was excited to make it happen. Last year, after their new pool was completed, she asked me for help choosing plants. I gave her some ideas, but being that she is a very a busy Mama, her plant project was pushed back. I asked her if she would allow me to plant that area for her and she agreed. I did a little research at Green Acres and visited her backyard once. I brought her a few ideas and then the following day I went back to Green Acres, purchased the plants and brought Pedar over to help with the muscle I needed to remove some lawn.

We planted about a month ago and it was such a warm day and ever since the weather has been nice and cool. Great for the plants to get started in their new home. Dagny shared that Dean hooked up the new babies to water and they will spread bark soon.

Happy Birthday, Dagny! We hope this space brings you joy and reminds you how loved you are.
